How much is shipping and handling and how long will it take to receive my order?
We ship US Postal Service first class priority mail at a flat rate of $7 per domestic order (with signature confirmation required if order is over $250) . We try our best to send out all priority delivery orders within 7-10 business days. Because our jewelry is handcrafted, there may occasionally be delays in production, but we will inform you immediately if an item is backordered. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order ships. We charge 8.375% sales tax for any orders shipped to NY state.
We are currently unable to ship internationally.
Why Odette?
Odette is named for characters in both a Marcel Proust novel and the ballet Swan Lake. The meaning of the French name is inspiring: a happy home.
How will my order come packaged?
Your order will arrive on a hand-stamped tag with striped baker's twine in a biodegradable pouch. Safely wrapped for transit, we make an effort to reuse packing materials where we can. Once upon a time, Odette jewelry was packaged a little differently, but we are making little changes to reduce waste and excessive packaging. If you would like to receive your items in the old packaging, please leave that request in the comments section of your shopping cart. We will honor this request until we run out as supplies are limited.
What materials are used?
Odette jewelry is listed as either Sterling silver, 18K Gold and Rose Gold Vermeil, or Solid 14K Rose and Yellow Gold. Sterling silver is a precious metal composed of 925 parts of pure silver and 75 parts alloy. Vermeil is is a combination of precious metals; the inside core is pure sterling silver while the outer coating is electroplated with a thick layer of 18K gold.
Some of these materials may develop a natural patina over time from exposure to oxygen, chemicals, and oils in the skin. If you would like to discourage the tarnishing process, keep jewelry items in an airtight container like a Ziploc bag or a jewelry box. If tarnishing occurs, clean with gentle soap and water and rub gently with a soft polishing cloth.
Will my order look exactly like the picture?
Each piece is handcrafted using the best materials and although we make every effort to ensure the colors and sizes are accurate, there may be slight variations due to the handmade nature of the materials.
Can items be exchanged or returned?
If you are not satisfied with your order, items may be exchanged within 9 days for an item of equal or lesser value or for a credit towards a future purchase. Before returning your item, please first send a brief e-mail to returns@odetteny.com and include your item name and invoice number. When you receive confirmation, please return items in their original condition and packaging. We are unable to accept returns of worn or damaged items. The cost of return shipping is non-refundable.
