Jennifer Sarkilahti is an artist and designer in New York City. Her distinctive collection, Odette New York, includes imaginative hand-sculpted pieces in Sterling silver, solid 14K yellow and rose gold and 18K vermeil.
Each original design begins from a pencil sketch that is then carefully translated into wax by hand in Sarkilahti's Brooklyn studio. A mold is then created from the wax and the metals are cast and polished. The collection is rich in texture and whimsical designs; while the handcrafted nature of her jewelry displays an organic aesthetic that is signature to the collection.
Virginia-bred, Sarkilahti received her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from George Mason University. Imparting an eye for composition and form to her jewelry design, she draws inspiration from nature, botanical forms, art, and modern design.
Odette is available at distinctive boutiques across the globe, including Bettina Duncan at Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Linnet in Japan, Pink in Richmond, and Cog and Pearl in Brooklyn.
